With my friend being over  and as we prepped for our road-trip I took the opportunity to show her around my local area and some places that I have never been before. The University I studied in , Maynooth University has a very picturesque campus and has some amazing grounds. In all my fours years in there, there were places that I had never been so when I took Charley to see them I was actually discovering something new places for myself also. It was so nice seeing the contrast between the two campuses in our university as one is so busy and bustling with life and the other is so green and relaxing.

After this I brought Charley to see Castletown House which is Palladian country house that was built in 1722 for Willaim Collins who was the speaker of the House of Commons at the time. It is a beautiful house in amazing gardens and is literally just up the road from my house. It is so nice to take some time out of your busy life and walk amongst the greenery and have some chats with the ducks. Having this amazing house with wonderful gardens right on my doorstep is wonderful.

Having Charley  over gave me an opportunity to show her around my local area and also a chance for me to rediscover my love for it. It goes to show that you have some amazing things right under  your nose if you only look.
