Throughout my summer I have been working every week so on my days off I like to do something that gets me out of the house and meet up with friends. My friend Karen lives right beside Donadea Forest Park and me, Karen and my other friend Paula decided to don our rain jackets and wellies because this is Ireland after all  and go for a walk in the forest. As well as living right beside the forest Karen also has two cute and energetic dogs Saffy and Colby who were only too happy to go for a long forest walk so it was the prefect excuse for us to have some fun. It was great to be out in the open with friends and being able to catch up on all the gossip while getting a little exercise as well.

Now the thing is our short walk turned into more of a hour long walk with a photo-shoot interlude in the middle. I wanted to get some good photos for here and well my friends were only too obliging to wait around and take loads of photos. Along with this we found a fallen tree trunk and spent a large amount of time trying to get the perfectly timed picture of us jumping off it and after around twenty failed tries we finally got the shot. I’m sure the dogs were none to happy to have to stop every two minutes for pictures but we got some amazing shots and many memories were made.

It was so amazing to just take some time away from the busy world and just spent it in good company wandering through a forest with not a care in the world. Also the weather didn’t turn out too bad which was a bonus.
