So finally getting around to writing this post about my weekend in London but life has been busy with the end of term in sight. My aunt lives in London and it was her birthday in November and my friend is also studying in London so I thought I would ‘kill two birds with one stone’ as they say and head over for the weekend. My aunt kindly let me stay in her house along with the rest of the family so I was on the floor but that didn’t bother me.

I really love London and I think it is probably one of my favourite cities in the world ,if not my favourite. I have been a couple of times and have done most of the touristy stuff so it was nice to just wander around and enjoy the city because it really is beautiful. I had 3 whole days to explore and it was amazing. I met up with my friend on the Saturday for lunch and a catch up which was great as I hadn’t seen her in ages as she is away in London and I’m in France so it was nice to catch up on everything that has been going on. Then Saturday night was my aunts party which was in this really nice pub called ‘The Blacksmith and the Toffee Maker’ in London. It was a nice chilled night and it was great to catch up with all my family on my dad’s side as we don’t all live in the same country. We are all spread out between Ireland, London, France and Italy so when we come together it’s always great to have a catch up. Then Sunday and Monday I just spent exploring London by myself , walking along by the river and checking out the National Gallery.

It was a lovely relaxed weekend spent in my favourite city with family and friends. It was nice to get away and just have some family time and also some me time as I spent my days walking around London by myself just thinking about everything under the sun. I didn’t do very much but that was exactly what I wanted and it was wonderful.
