Natural Summer Make-up

With summer upon us and the weather getting that little bit hotter I like to tone down my make-up a little and use light products so it doesn’t feel too heavy on my skin. I don’t usually wear too much make-up anyway and I like it to feel light on my skin but in summer I always want to wear as little as possible so I don’t feel all hot and sweaty. Warm weather with heavy make-up just feels like disaster to me as I would spend the day constantly thinking is my make-up still there or has it turned into a runny mess which is not the look you want. Along with this I think having a lighter make-up will help your skin to breathe and feel cooler.

This look only used 7 products and you could probably use less if you forego the bronzer, blush and concealer. It is really quick and easy perfect for when you just want to get out in the summer sun, not that we get too much of that here in Ireland but you know what I mean. You want to spend your summer out with your friends at the beach or in the park and you don’t want to have to worry about if your make-up is still looking it’s best. That’s what makes this look perfect as it is so light and natural that it looks like you are hardly wearing any make-up so if you do turn into a sweaty mess which let’s face it happens, you’ll still look and feel good.

A little bit of bronzer and blush help to give you that radiant sun kissed glow and a healthy look to your cheeks. I also only used a tinted lip balm as it is really nourishing on your lips and is easy to re-apply throughout the day without any fuss. The one I used was in crayon form which made the application all the easier. A quick swish of an cream eye shadow crayon over your lids and some mascara and your good to go. Waterproof mascara in summer is also a godsend as you know it will stay there all day long and not budge. I did tutorial of this look on my Youtube channel which you can watch here but really you can play around with whatever make-up you have to achieve a natural looking summer look.

Let me know if there are any holy grail make-up products that you love to use in summer to get a lighter looking make-up look.
