Skeleton Cupcakes

I know that this is a little late seeing as Halloween was over a week ago but I was just too proud of myself for making these that I had to share them and let you know I am still here. I am in final year now so the work load is double what it was especially after coming back from Erasmus last year where we had hardly anything to do at all this has been a shock to the system. This has meant that when I’m not studying or working all I want to do is relax and not have to think about anything. The only exciting thing that has happened since my last post was that I went to visit the girls in England and we went to see One Direction in October which was great. It was great to see the girls and have a catch up as it was like 3 months since our last meet up which is just too long and One direction were amazing .Other an this I have just been working away and studying so very exciting stuff. Hopefully I will have a little more free time over Christmas when I can blog some more but for now you’re just going to have to bare with me.

Enough of my moaning and on to these Skeleton cupcakes which may look complicated but they are actually super easy. I was looking through Pinterest to get some inspiration for some Halloween baking and I saw these cupcake and thought that I just had to try them. I used my usual Hummingbird Bakery vanilla cupcake as a base and then it’s really the topping that make the cupcakes. Some pretzels covered in white chocolate and a marshmallow with a food colouring face is all that is needed to make them look like skeletons, super easy but they look so cool. I used a white lollipop stick to stick in to the cupcake and then assembled the pretzels and marshmallow. The pretzels really do look like ribs.I couldn’t find black food colouring so I just used red but I think it still does the job. I love finding these really easy things to do but they look different and as if you put tonnes of time into making them.

I’m always searching Pinterest for new, fun easy things to bake and there are a few more recipes that I have pinned that I will hopefully be trying in the near future so lookout for those. As for now I am off back to the library to continue my study and essay writing after this little break to write this.
